The Lafayette Museum – Historic Home and Gardens showcased local artist Ceclia “Ceci” Neustrom’s work with an exhibit, lecture, and live Cajun music at its February 2025 Lecture Series. The Acadian Heritage Series features Ceci’s original oil paintings of descendants or representatives of the original Acadian settlers in South Louisiana, highlighting their strength and resilience. Lafayette’s Mayor-President Monique Blanco Boulet attended as a special guest, presenting a proclamation recognizing Ceci for preserving Acadian heritage through her portraits.
