The Alexandré Mouton House/Lafayette Museum and the Lafayette Public Library System present the Documentary Film “First Cousins: Cajun and Creole Music in South Louisiana.” The filmmakers, sisters Moriah and Elista Istre, both of whom have doctorate degrees, will be present to answer any questions about the film and the culture of the two groups. Dr. Elista Istre also published the book Creoles of South Louisiana: Three Centuries Strong, based on her doctoral dissertation.
