The Lafayette Museum Association is happy to announce the reopening of the Lafayette Museum, Historic Home and Gardens. Established in 1954, the Museum is the original and only onsite museum in the parish. The Lafayette Museum is an eyewitness to the events that led to the growth and development of Lafayette and the surrounding area and is dedicated to sharing and promoting the history and culture of Acadiana by collecting, preserving, exhibiting, and interpreting artifacts related to the families and time in which they lived in the house.
The Museum will be open to the public Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00 for adults, $3.00 for seniors, students and military. By appointment only, group tours can visit the Museum Sunday and Monday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Museum is available for meetings or party rentals. COVID guidelines observed.
