Alexandré Mouton House/Lafayette Museum and the Lafayette Public Library System present guest speaker, Leslie Leonpacher. Leslie is a Lafayette native and granddaughter of Dr. Louitpould Leonpacher, who revolutionized veterinary medicine in Acadiana. Dr. Lippi was a German immigrant who came to America and eventually settled in Lafayette. He specialized in large animals and would fly his 1939 model Piper Cub Coupe airplane to reach remote areas to treat his animal patients. Leslie, a creative artist, has produced a documentary film about the life of her amazing grandfather. She will talk about him and present her film that recently aired on LPB.
