The Lafayette Museum and the Lafayette Public Library System present fashion historian, Helen Marie Thian as guest speaker. Born, raised and educated in New Orleans, Mrs. Thian has a law degree and graduated form the London College of Fashion with a Masters of Art Degree in Fashion History and Cultures.
Mrs. Thian will speak on Lafayette native, Henri Willis Bendel. Mr. Bendel was born in 1868 and rose to fame becoming a retail fashion icon in the 1920s and 1930s in New York City and Paris.
This event is free to the public. Doors open at 1:30, with limited seating. Refreshments will be served.
